GENESIS
When we first stepped into our clients' 1983 Dallas mid-century modern home, it was clear this kitchen didn’t yet inspire “green” with envy. The cabinetry, showing its almost 40-year age, lacked both style and functionality. Dated appliances and limited storage further emphasized the need for a complete transformation. From the very start, our clients made it clear—they envisioned a bold green kitchen! We set out to make that vision a reality, beginning with a carefully planned, functional layout. Custom cabinetry was designed to maximize storage and organization, featuring hidden gems like trash pullouts and utensil organizers for seamless functionality. With the layout perfected, we turned to creating a digital vision, i.e. photorealistic rendering. Renderings gave our clients security in the design process and their decision making. A custom, handcrafted tile backsplash adds a unique visual focal point, bringing artisanal charm to the space. Its intricate detailing pairs seamlessly with the cabinetry, elevating the design and adding personality to the kitchen. Custom black iron French doors create a stunning connection to the outdoors, allowing for easy access and adding a touch of industrial elegance to the space. A pet-friendly addition, the doggie door blends seamlessly into the design, ensuring that even four-legged family members are included in daily activities.

Champagne bronze fixtures and hardware bring a touch of sophistication, adding just the right amount of shimmer to the room. Oak wood flooring adds warmth and texture, grounding the design while providing a subtle contrast to the cabinetry and metallic accents.

Going for the Gold (or Green)
Project Envy, a bold kitchen remodel designed by the KLW Design Studio in collaboration with Sardone | McLain Construction, has earned two prestigious awards! This stunning kitchen was named the winner of the Best Contemporary Small Kitchen category at the 2023 National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) North Plains Chapter KABA Awards. Additionally, it won the coveted 2024 Contractor of the Year (COTY) Award from the NARI North Texas Chapter.
